New Earthy Colourway For Nike Streetgato Released

Taking care of your body isn’t the only important thing when it comes to your training, your equipment plays an important role in your performance as well!

Maybe you’re new to boxing, or have not been informed about the proper timeline and life span of your gloves. Along with hand wraps, gloves are a crucial piece of equipment to your training and need to be replaced every now and again to ensure that you are protected so that you can keep continuing to do what you love. But when do you actually need to replace them? There are a few questions to ask yourself to assess if it’s indeed time to re-invest.

Do you see any highly visible wear and tear on your gloves? Do your hands, wrists, or elbows ache? Do your knuckles feel bruised?

You have to do something in your life that is honorable and not cowardly if you are to live in peace with yourself.

If you answered yes to any of these questions… it’s probably that time. In general, a good benchmark to keep in mind is that if you box 3x a week, you will want to replace your gloves after 6 months for synthetic, and 12 months for leather.

As always, if you are unsure if the time is right, feel free to ask your coach or even a fellow member who might be able to help with determining if new gloves are on your horizon!
